If you have a moment, I'd love to get your feedback on a new project we're working on: a cabinet that lets you hide your TV behind a beautiful Old-World painting. We'll be making these to sell nationwide, so we want to get them just right. Our first design features a Dutch masterwork depicting sailing ships at sunset, and the way the cabinet is made, you can still see and enjoy the painting even when the cabinet is open. By the way, notice the little black box at the top... this cabinet will be vented by the same fans they use in industrial IT stacks, so your TV will stay cooler and last longer. We plan to build the cabinet sides out of solid walnut, which has an amazing color... it's always been one of my favorite woods. And you'll be able to install the cabinet on the wall (it will stick out about 6 to 7 inches, which is still fairly shallow) or recess it in the wall for a much thinner look. It's hard to get a good feeling for scale on a 3D model like this, but the cabinet fits up to a 55" flat screen, so the whole thing is almost five feet wide. I think it will look great over a console table... and when you walk in the room, you won't have that big black screen staring at you. After all, a living room should be for living... not just watching TV. Anyway, we'd love to hear your feedback. A few questions we have are: - What features should we add? - Should we make a smaller cabinet, for smaller TVs? - What is one thing we could do to make this irresistible to you? Any comments would be appreciated... so leave your thoughts below if you're reading this on our blog... or if you're reading this by email, shoot me a quick reply.
And thank you, dear reader!
