A tall white office bookcase for a printer
This tall white bookcase is for a small office. It's relatively shallow, so it doesn't take up a lot of floor space, but it has a single deep custom shelf to hold a printer.
It's also a great example of how a little paint and a nice piece of custom furniture can transform a room.

Our client planned to paint the walls indigo blue, and requested a set of white shelves as a contrast.
This is our 3D model for them, and it's always delightful to look back and see how accurate our drawing was. It showed the printer shelf in a different location because the client wasn't sure where the shelf would go. We made it adjustable, so it could be moved or even taken out in the future.

This went into the same home as our dark gray fireplace mantel, and in fact we built them at the same time. Although the bookcase was painted in a different color, we repeated the molding at the top for a continuous look throughout the condo.
The office was very small, and the homeowner wanted to use as much of the floor space as possible, so we also built a pair of sliding barn doors for the connecting bathroom. Since the doors don't swing out like traditional doors, it left a little extra room for furniture.
The three bays of shelves in the finished bookcase mimic the three windows on the adjoining wall. And look at that beautiful view of vintage buildings in South Asheville!
On the other side of the room is a comfortable chair near the sliding doors. That extra floor space made all the difference... now there's a spot for a cozy reading nook.
